Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children and KOSI 101.1 collected more than 4,000 new teddy bears!

Denver Fire, Denver Police, Mile High Ambulance, American Medical Response, Northglenn Ambulance and AirLife will have the bears on hand to give to a child during a traumatic situation. Sometimes a small act of kindness can have a big impact. A simple teddy bear will go a long way in comforting a child.

The new teddy bears were distributed during the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL Teddy Bear Patrol Community Party, Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. We had more than 400 people join us for the party. It was a blast! Take a look at the fun photos from the event by clicking here.

We had face painting, animals from the Denver Zoo, a photo booth, stilt walkers, jugglers, cookies, ice cream, food trucks, a casting station, teddy bear x-rays and tours of OR1. The main drive was loaded with emergency vehicles allowing kids to climb inside. We also had the interactive fan van from the Denver Nuggets, Avalanche, Mammoth and Rapids with all four mascots!

A big thanks to KOSI 101.1 for bringing the Teddy Bear Patrol to Denver and thank you to our community partners, Denver Fire, Denver Police, Mile High Ambulance, American Medical Response, Northglenn Ambulance, AirLife and Kroenke Sports Entertainment.
